The 2023 version of the Knock ME Down Adventure Race will have a number of updates from previous events.Knock ME Down Challenge and MOR

The Knock ME Down Challenge won’t change much, no point messing with something that’s working very well.

Increased Distance

Most of the tweaks come in the Knock ME Down MÓR race, which increases in distance from 58km to 62km. This will bring it in line with National Adventure Series races. The extra kms here are in the run section at Mount Melleray Monastery, which expands from 4km in 2022 to 7.5km  this year.

Added Categories

There are also now two age categories in both the Male and Female sections of the Knock ME Down MÓR event. Up to now these had just been Male and Female categories. There are now under and over forty age categories in both events.

Red Bull Conquer the Castle in Cashel

Red Bull Conquer the Castle will take place in Cashel again in 2023, on June 10th. It is great that there is now a choice of adventure races in the South-East of Ireland and particularly in Tipperary. Red Bull Logo

Red Bull Conquer the Castle is a sprint Obstacle Course Race like no other. In 2023 Red Bull claims the event will be bigger and better as the two Red Bull Conquer the Castle events will have their own unique challenges. The first event, athe lavish  Castle Irvine, Co. Fermanagh, took place on May 6th. 

The Tipperary event is located on magnificent farmland in Tipperary’s Golden Vale, right on the edge of Cashel town, looking up at the magnificent Rock of Cashel. The Tipperary course will differ from the 2022 version, with additional features and an extended course. This sprint course will be 2.5km in length, with approximately 20 obstacles to overcome.

Competitors aged 16 and upwards are permitted to compete. However, competitors aged 16 and 17 must complete a consent form signed by their parent/guardian.
These testing courses will stress test the body and mind to their limits. Booking for Conquer the Castle is open here.
